The CFLGE Digital Commons is an initiative of the Center for Florida Local Government Excellence (CFLGE) at Florida State University and is an open access searchable database for capturing, archiving and disseminating research, data, and creative and scholarly publications for and about Florida Local Government.
During the 2008-2009 academic year, the Center will be working with universities, individual faculty, Florida local governments and selective private sector entities to collect, submit and manage content in the CFLGE Digital Commons. The Center will be creating individual collections for research units, departments, universities, and centers located across the state, bringing together all Florida local government research under one umbrella. Specifically, CFLGE Digital Commons will aim to preserve and provide open access to Florida local government research, provide critical data and information for public policy decisions, and provide practical solutions for many of the issues facing Florida and her communities.
